Theo Lacy Facility Improvements, Industrial Size Garbage Grinders
Steven Andrews Engineering was retained by the Orange County Sherriff-Coroner Department to design and investigate the best area to install three (3) muffin monsters assemblies with in Theo Lacy Compound. The project is located in Orange, CA. Steven Andrews Engineering prepared construction plans and specifications for the installation three (3) muffin monster grinder pump assemblies for the Orange County Sheriff Department. The project included two (2) 12-inch muffin monster grinder pumps assemblies and one (1) 8-inch muffin monster grinder pump assembly each placed in a separate below grade valve vault.
Waste Management Irvine Hauling Station
Steven Andrews Engineering was retained by Rick Engineering to design a holding tank system to retain storm water runoff to meet onsite water quality objectives. The project is located in the City of Irvine, CA at the Waste Management Irvine Hauling Station. Steven Andrews Engineering prepared construction plans and specifications for the design of two (2) sump pump vaults and seven (7) above ground water tanks for conveyance and detention of storm water runoff to meet onsite water quality objectives. The project included an 8-foot deep precast concrete manhole with dual submersible 450 gpm sump pumps, 6-inch PVC on-site piping connecting to the seven (7) HDPE poly process tanks each having a capacity of 10,300 gallons of wastewater storage connected in series.
Workman Mill Road Utility Improvements – Sewer Siphon Construction
Steven Andrews Engineering was retained by KFM Engineering to design and prepare construction plans and specifications for the design of a new sewer siphon that was required to allow the installation of a 48″ welded steel water main with a 66″ inside diameter, ½-inch thick steel casing within street right of way on Workman Mill Road in the City of Puente Hills, CA. The design included a dual 15″ VCP sewer siphon design per the Los Angeles County Sanitation District No. 12 Standards, a 60″ diameter sewer manhole at each end of the sewer siphon. Steven Andrews Engineering provided coordination with the design of the new water main and new access road with grade separation that was being design concurrently.
