2,000 GPM IX Treatment for Perchlorate Removal – MMWC

Steven Andrews Engineering was retained by Marygold Mutual Water Company (MMWC) to design a new IX treatment plant that would meet Health Department regulations for Perchlorate removal.  The project is located in the City of Bloomington, CA.  SAE prepared construction plans and specifications for a 2,000 GPM IX Treatment Plant for Perchlorate Removal. The project included the installation of a two(2) Evoqua 12’ diameter vessels, two(2) UHF Towner cartridge horizontal filters, piping and appurtenances and existing well no. 7 located onsite was re-piped to connect to the IX Treatment plan via a new 12” CML&C welded steel pipe approximately 210 lineal feet.  SAE worked closely with the Health Department to obtain the operating permit.

Eastside Water Treatment Facility Phase 1

Steven Andrews Engineering was retained by LS College Park, LLC, C/O Lennar Homes of California, Inc. to design a new Ion Exchange Water Treatment Plant housed in a 5,000 square foot concrete slab on grade butler building.  The project is located in the City of Ontario, CA and is operated by the City of Chino.  SAE prepared construction plans and specifications for a 2,000 gpm Ion Exchange Water Treatment Plant that included a Calgon ISEP treatment plant, five (5) large chemical/brine storage tanks, a four (4) million gallon domestic water welded steel reservoir, a 500,000 gallon raw water welded steel tank, a domestic water booster station serving the 890 pressure zone and 790 pressure zone, onsite and offsite landscaping, perimeter fencing, site paving and onsite storm water bio-filtration basin.  SAE worked closely with the Architect, Structural Engineer, Landscape and Irrigation Engineer, and Surveyor to complete this complex project.  The two (2) welded steel tanks were awarded the 2015 Tank of the Year Award by STI/SPFA.

Eastside Water Treatment Facility – Phase A

Steven Andrews Engineering was retained by Lewis Management Corporation to design a new water treatment facility for nitrate removal to serve the Preserve Development located in the City of Chino, CA.   Steven Andrews Engineering prepared a detailed preliminary design technical report for the major design parameters for the Eastside Ion Exchange Water Treatment Plant and Facilities.  The facilities included the temporary equipping of Well 16, an 800 gpm water treatment package plant, a packaged booster pump station, CDA blending equipment, and a packaged disinfection system.  Steven Andrews Engineering also provided mechanical layouts, established design capacity, and sized the pumps and the piping.  Hydraulic calculations were prepared including system curve and pump curve development.  Preliminary construction drawings included civil, mechanical, and electrical site plans, electrical single line diagram, a mechanical layout plan for the well pump, treatment plant, and booster pump and a site piping plan.
